This is a kinda old post, but I have meaningful contribution for it.
Like half of the pairs of shoes that I own have white soles, whenever I drive wearing them my rubber mats leave black marks on the back of them, same place as on yours.
If I wear Vans while driving, the little white lettering on that red label on the back will slowly wear away as a result.
